Compensation
A competitive and comprehensive compensation package is on offer, consisting of a $100,000 to $110,000 salary (commensurate upon experience) and a benefits package.

Position Description
Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Plant Engineer will design, install, and enhance the mechanical and electrical systems that keep the manufacturing process running smoothly. This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic project leadership, offering a chance to influence long-term plant performance and modernization initiatives.
You'll oversee equipment installations, production line enhancements, and facility upgrades while collaborating with maintenance, production, and external partners to deliver solutions that meet cost, quality, and safety targets.

  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and systems run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges involving mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and throughput optimization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute capital projects including new equipment implementation, system upgrades, and plant modifications.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives related to safety, environment, and quality.
  • Develop and sustain preventive maintenance programs that reduce unplanned outages and extend equipment life.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve plant reliability and project goals.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting aligned with corporate standards (e.g., ISO).
Qualifications
  • P.Eng. designation required.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with continuous process operations is a strong asset.
  • Proven project management capability; PMP, CAPM, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong technical foundation in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects from concept through completion, meeting budget and schedule objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with colleagues at all levels, from shop floor to leadership.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement practical, results-driven improvements.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
