Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our plastics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems, with experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and parts inventory Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems Support operators to reach daily targets Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures at all times Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance Proficiency in electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and troubleshooting Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation Ability to analyze complex problems quickly and develop effective solutions Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork Customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards Use of hand tools, power tools and machine shop equipment
