Job Description

Our long-standing and well established Manufacturing client in York Region is looking for their next dynamic Controller for their plant operations in North Toronto .

This position is responsible to meet the objectives & goals by functioning as a business partner with plant and financial management. Effectively oversee the finance functions of a single plant. and you have the responsibility to oversee the execution of financial processes, policies, and programs personally or through your team.

Key Duties:

• Analyze and accurately report financial results (Monthly/Quarterly) to the corporate management in accordance with corporate format and timely requirements.

• Submit all financial transactions, reporting on a timely and accurate basis to plant personnel - Sales and President/GM

• Ensure accuracy of inventory using production data, and other activities.

Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly.

• Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels

• Establish and maintain systems, controls , verify the integrity of the numbers, processes, and data, while enhancing the company\'s profitability . Responsible for internal controls at the plant for operations, sales, and accounting & finance.

• Lead your staff at the plant, accountable for plant-level responsibilities including general accounting, payables, billing, cost accounting, bill of materials, business analysis, financial reporting, sales management, and system operations.

Key Requirements:

• Five(5)+ experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment, plant operations with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysis.

• High level of proficiency in excel spreadsheets & ERP/MRP systems.

• Proactive approach/style; demonstrates sound judgment & decision making; able to identify problems and exercises the needs and develop solutions / options.

• Self-motivated, strong confidence in leading by example -polished professional who thrives in a growing fast-paced environment.

• Solid knowledge of financial processes and manufacturing experience or related and loves challenges at times and can challenge the status quo.

• Accounting Designation preferred and Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field minimum.
