Job Description

This position will be mostly an in-person role at one of our larger plants (Ontario Canada) with occasional travel to ancillary plants in OH and WI. There is however the potential for more of a hybrid schedule after getting settled into the role. Full relocation assistance is being offered for candidates outside of the local area.

• Work with Operations team to ensure accurate BOM costs
• Work with Sales and Operations teams to calculate, and monitor, profitability per Product Line and product class with the goal of eventually getting down to the SKU level
• Work with Operations to execute pre-built cycle count program with the aim of eliminating monthly physical count variances and reducing slow moving/obsolete write-offs. Manufacturing Controllers maintain inventory count statistics and spot-check physical counts
• Core member of the Sales & Operations Planning (S& OP) process for assigned locations
• Responsible for the monthly closing process for assigned plant manufacturing locations

o Reconciling Sales Detail to Revenue & COGS Accounts
o Analyze Plant Expenses (Consumables, Production Expenses, Building, R& M Expenses) & Associated Accruals
o Labor & Overhead Absorption (Over / Under)
o Balance Sheet

• Review and analyze data to identify actual plant manufacturing results versus established objectives
• Provide support to develop and track cost savings opportunities and monitor progress of current initiatives
• Support periodic review and analysis for Capital spending requests
• External/Internal audit support for assigned locations
• Control and maintenance of fixed asset inventory to include uploading information into ERP platform (LN) and performing annual fixed asset audits
• Work with sales and operations teams to develop annual plant operating budgets and forecasts
• Provide day to day financial and operational support for assigned plants
• Bi-weekly meetings with Business Analytics (BA) Team to work on process improvement initiatives
• Travel to facilities will be required from time to time to work with operations personnel
• Ability to spend limited time on the shop floor to understand site specific manufacturing process

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree in accounting or finance is required
- 5 years in an accounting role with at least 3 as a Cost Accountant or Plant Controller in manufacturing

\xc2\xb7 Manufacturing experience in metal fabrication and or appliances would be ideal but not essential
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel), experience with LN ERP a plus

\xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization and promote teamwork between departments
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and to manage a high workload
- Ability to analyze and measure specific parts of the P- Willingness to travel occasionally
