Work in Bowmanville for a growing company that has been around for 120 years producing iron castings that are used all over the world. This job requires a variety of physical tasks some of which are repetitive. Shovelling, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying garbage cans and cleaning equipment. The work can be dirty and hot, but you work mainly on your own with a list of tasks to complete in the order you choose. Preference will be given to applicants who have some mechanical aptitude, and we are looking for those with experience in a factory / workshop setting or outside physical labour. Current starting rate is $18.11 / hour (includes afternoon premium) rising to $21.55 / hour (includes afternoon premium) after a probation period of 360 hours and entry into the Steelworkers Union. Benefits include prescription medications, dental and vision care, pension contributions. Position starts immediately and is for our afternoon shift of 3 to 11 pm [Mon - Thurs] 12 to 8 pm [Fri]. We need people who can make it to work regularly (5 days per week), and will put in a good day of work for their pay.
