Plant Accountant
Burlington
Full time on site
8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
75K-85K

Experience required:

• Post -secondary diploma/degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA Designation preferred or working towards.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Deadline oriented
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting role
• Strong preference for experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working experience with accounting software, advanced Excel.

:

• Reconciles and analyzes all required balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
• Final bank and cash flow reconciliations with approvals
• Standard journal entry preparation/posting
• Reconciles the purchase price variance account and investigates discrepancies
• Reconciliation and payment of inter-company accounts
• Calculates monthly HST/QST remittance/refund
• Annual audit requirements
• Assists with annual budget preparation
• Lease reconciliations
• Distribute bank statements and received wires
• Adjusting entries and variance analysis
• Manage pre-paid and accrual accounts
• Provide oversight on cycle count process consistency
• Analyzes differences and works with Plant Management to ensure those are addressed
• Weekly/monthly cycle count reporting
• Inventory bill of materials set-up/maintenance
• Invoice processing for all raw material vendors to ensure accurate receipt of inventory amounts
• Reconciliation between sub ledger and general ledger for all inventory GL accounts
