Description Day in the Life: The Planning Manager is responsible for achieving Omni-Channel sales, profit and inventory productivity objectives for merchandise categories in partnership with the Merchant office. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will drive business results through the in-season and pre-season planning processes and development of strategic initiatives. You will be a part of a collaborative team environment and build rewarding partnerships with colleagues and senior management. What You Will Do:
  • Lead with a customer oriented perspective in partnership with Merchant office to drive store and digital business.
  • Be responsible for development of topside financial plans, pre-season, and in season management for stores and digital.
  • Partner with merchant office to provide recommendation of style count and unity density.
  • Support team analysis of key item trends and adjustment of forecasts, receipts, and inventory levels as needed to drive business.
  • Manage Open-to-Buy to align sales margin and inventory to current trends and seasonal plans.
  • Partner with merchant office to establish a concise and executable merchandise plan mix pre-season and in-season.
  • Provide recommendations and execute markdowns in partnership with the merchant office.
  • Manage the hiring, training, and development of assistant planner.
  • Partner with allocations team to ensure balanced inventory stock to sales by store.
What You Will Need:
  • 3-5 years of experience in buying and/or planning; management experience is a plus.
  • Foundational understanding of allocation strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of merchandising financials and ability to manage profitability.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Ability to initiative in driving business results and are comfortable and confident in making effective decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and leveraging cross-functional partnerships
