Job Summary

Our large oil and gas company in Fort McMurray is currently recruiting a Scheduler/Planner for a 1 year contract. Scheduled Shift is Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day.

This position is located in Fort McMurray, AB and local candidates are preferred. Non-local candidates will be considered, but must be willing to secure their own accommodations, as there is no camp, LOA, or accommodation allowance provided.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing and maintaining the project schedules, collecting the required inputs and developing the initial schedule identifying the dependencies, resources, critical path, baselines and other required aspects
• Works with the IPT, including the Project Manager, Project Lead Estimator (PLE), Construction Manager, etc., as well as the engineering and construction contractors to gather data used in the preparation, maintenance and alignment of the schedules
• Analyzes and reports issues and items that may put the overall mechanical completion date in jeopardy and makes recommendations to mitigate those issues

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Primavera P6
• Preferable experience in working as part of the owners organization
• Successfully pass a criminal background check
• This position is classified as safety sensitive, therefore you must also be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
• Possession of or eligible to obtain a passport
• Valid CSO training
