Job Opportunity:

We are currently searching an experienced and highly motivated Planner/Scheduler based in St. John's, NL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing,responsible for ensuring the seamless workflow of daily operations, in an organized and timely manner this includes planning and scheduling functions as will as workforce planning activities. They ensure employees are trained and follow all policies and procedures assigned. This role requires strong attention to detail, a customer service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple service requests across different regions or clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist and work with manager and supervisors in completing service quotes for internal and external customers. Assist and work with manager and supervisors in reducing WIP. Assist in creating project schedules and updating Gant charts according to progress. Ensure new hires complete HR/SHEQ(HSE) orientation. Schedule customer site specific training with new and existing technicians. Create and manage Service Request Forms (SRFs). Establish working relationships with customers and colleagues. Assist the team with reviewing and allocating costs appropriately. Help with internal documentation of training. Assist with internal tracking of service clothing and required tools for the technicians. Understand and help manage the employee related cost section of the service variance. Review monthly flight costs and ensure they are allocated to the correct work orders. Direct calls from customers to the appropriate technical service advisor. Assist manager and supervisors with daily duties. Assist in ordering parts and shipping to customer sites. Ensure proper technician travel arrangements both internally and with customers charters. Work within and promote a supportive and innovative team culture. After hour support may be required. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other relevant tasks and duties as assigned by the manager. Scheduling of Planned Jobs Work Order Creation Planning & scheduling manpower availability Monitor costs on work orders, Job quoting (Assembly, Service Repairs)

Qualifications:

Technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. 3-5 years of maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination experience in the mining or heavy equipment industry. Proficiency with CMMS and service planning software (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle). Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Strong understanding of mining equipment systems, service intervals, and rebuild cycles. Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience working between field teams and client stakeholders. Ability to read technical documentation, service manuals, and equipment drawings. Ability to manage multiple work fronts and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:

Possess a valid drivers license. Solid knowledge of the repair and maintenance practices of surface and underground mining equipment. Solid knowledge for planning, coordination and direction of technicians and their work. Ability to travel and go to customers site's if required. Fluency in both English and French would be an asset. A proven self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
