We are currently seeking a Planner to support our Streetcar Infrastructure team!
Reporting to the Head of Streetcar Infrastructure, the Planner will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and scheduling work activities in collaboration with various TTC departments, including supporting the implementation of Maximo. The Planner will be responsible for developing dashboards to monitor data quality and KPIs, assisting with audit and asset management follow-ups, and contributing to lifecycle planning. This position requires frequent interaction with stakeholders to coordinate resources and address constraints affecting repairs, inventories, replacements, and rehabilitation of assets.
What You Will Do

The Planner will support the oversight of repair and rehabilitation projects, asset inventories, and condition assessments, while helping implement best practices across operations and budget management. This role plays a key part in aligning service levels and maintenance schedules across internal teams and external stakeholders.
This role involves coordinating, planning and scheduling activities while considering resource constraints and service operations. The role will involve optimizing resource allocation, resolving scheduling conflicts, and ensuring production timelines are met. You'll also support maintenance planning by identifying service needs and collaborate with departments to address equipment and material issues.
The Planner will assist in leading the implementation of Maximo LAM and GIS applications, prepare schedules and reports, and ensure documentation aligns with corporate initiatives. You will lead efforts to enhance business practices related to asset management and maintenance planning, while working closely with Service Planning and other departments to manage service interruptions and project timelines.

What Qualifications Do You Bring
------------------------------------
Your education will consist of a university or college Degree in an Engineering, or a related discipline combined with several years of directly related work experience within Project Management in the construction industry
Your application will also reveal experience within project planning and asset management, including preventative and corrective maintenance ideally within transit and municipal industries.
Experience with asset management principles and theories, along with demonstrated asset management experience and tools.
Experience in the analysis of assets and asset planning including forecasting analysis.
Technical knowledge of the transit infrastructure network and associated construction/repair activities, and knowledge of Capital and Operating budgeting process are assets.
Knowledge of asset management principles, along with demonstrated experience in maintenance of assets
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act, environmental compliance, etc)
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, verbal communications, and technical report writing skills.
Sound judgement; strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives.
Proficiency in the use of computers systems and tools, including the MS Office Suite, MS Project, Power BI, databases, and advanced use of spreadsheet automation.
IAM certificate is considered an asset
