Junior Project Planner
to join our growing team and learn the ropes of project planning, sales, procurement, and quality management in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Position Overview
The
Junior Project Planner
position is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in project planning and customer relations. You'll gain exposure to outside and inside sales, procurement, quality control, and inventory management -- working closely with experienced mentors and senior planners to support projects from quoting through delivery.
Key Responsibilities.
Project Planning & Sales
Shadow senior planners during customer visits and calls to learn relationship-building and sales techniques.
Assist with preparing and presenting quotes and proposals to customers.
Support development of sales strategies and contribute to achieving company targets.
Help coordinate project milestones -- design, fabrication, quality checks, and shipping.
Track project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and customer expectations are met.
Assist in creating turnover documentation and coordinating shipping logistics.
Inside Sales
Manage internal fabrication jobs from quoting to order processing.
Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and pricing strategies.
Procurement
Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, tools, and services.
Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Support cost tracking and supplier performance evaluations.
Quality & Inventory Control
Maintain quality assurance documentation and assist with third-party inspections.
Support accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts or audits.

Basic understanding of project coordination, sales, or procurement (an asset but not required).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Valid driver's license (for occasional site or customer visits).
