CAD Industries ferroviaires est une societe quebecoise ambitieuse, en activites depuis plus de 60 ans, specialisee dans la reparation, la conversion et le reconditionnement d'equipements ferroviaires roulant (wagons et locomotives en tous genres) qui avons des ateliers et bureaux a Montreal (secteur Lachine) et en Alberta (sous la banniere Caltrax).

Dans leurs projets, nos equipes voient donc a designer des equipements qui repondront aux besoins de ces memes clients qui oeuvrent autant du cote marchandise que passagers.
Resume du poste:
Relevant du Directeur des operations, le planificateur ou la planificatrice de production est responsable de la planification et de l'allocation des ressources dans l'atelier afin d'atteindre les objectifs de production, principalement en ce qui concerne nos wagons de fret ferroviaire, et ce, conformement a nos engagements envers nos clients.
Principales responsabilites:
Creer, maintenir et communiquer le calendrier maitre de production;
Surveiller la performance quotidienne afin de s'assurer que les objectifs de production sont atteints;
Identifier de maniere proactive les contraintes de planification et anticiper les retards potentiels, en assurant une communication rapide avec les departements concernes;
Utiliser et ameliorer continuellement les programmes de suivi afin d'atteindre les objectifs d'affaires;
Presider les reunions de production en fournissant des informations exactes et a jour pour soutenir la planification et la prise de decision;
Gerer la disposition des connaissements des wagons completes dans les systemes externes;
Preparer et distribuer les rapports quotidiens destines aux parties prenantes internes et externes;
Effectuer toute autre tache requise pour soutenir les operations.
Qualifications requises:
Minimum de cinq (5) annees d'experience dans un environnement de fabrication industrielle au sein d'une installation de production multi-departements;
Maitrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Access), avec des competences avancees en Excel;
Solide capacite a manipuler, analyser et synthetiser les donnees; habilete dans la production de rapports et l'interpretation des indicateurs de production et de capacite;
Excellentes aptitudes en gestion du temps, en organisation et en resolution de problemes;
Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome avec une approche proactive pour identifier et resoudre les problemes;
Diplome d'etudes postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe d'un etablissement reconnu (atout important);
Experience dans un atelier de reparation de vehicules (atout important);
Connaissance des programmes MYCPR, CN et Railcar RX (atout).

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and allocating resources in the shop to meet production targets, mainly concerning our Rail Freight Cars, in accordance with our commitment toward our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule;
Monitor daily performance to ensure production targets are met;
Proactively identify scheduling constraints and anticipate potential delays, ensuring early communication with relevant departments;
Utilize and continuously improve tracking programs to meet business objectives;
Chair production meetings, providing accurate and timely scheduling information to support planning and decision-making;
Manage waybill disposition of completed cars within external systems;
Prepare and distribute daily reports for both internal and external stakeholders;
Perform additional tasks as required to support operations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment within a multi-department production facility;
Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Access), with advanced skills in Excel;
Strong ability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize data; skilled in reporting and interpreting production and capacity metrics;
Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Completion of a related diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution (strong asset);
Experience in a vehicle repair facility (strong asset);
* Familiarity with MYCPR, CN, and Railcar RX program (asset).
