Plan Administrator
will be a key member of a dedicated team committed to providing service excellence in the administration of our various benefit plans.
HEB Manitoba is looking for a pension, benefits or financial administrator to become part of our professional team. This energetic group is responsible for assisting our healthcare members by providing accurate information on their pension entitlements.

Enhance your knowledge about HEB Manitoba Plan documents, procedures, contractual provisions and Plan texts.
Become familiar with HEB Manitoba's internal software systems.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will increase to include:
Handle requests via multiple mediums from members and provide valuable service.
Prepare and analyze pension and benefit calculations.
Address member concerns, escalating issues to management as required.
Review of associated documentation for retirements, estimates, reciprocal transfers etc. within corporate and legislated timelines.
Initiate payment processes for terminating and retiring members.
Develop and apply your knowledge of industry regulations and applicable Pension legislation.
Qualifications for Your Success:
Experience & Education
Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field.
Two plus years' experience in the pension, benefits and/or financial industry. Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension experience will help you to excel in this role.
Coursework completed towards the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills
A professional member service attitude that is proactive and delivered with empathy.
Working knowledge of provincial legislation such as The Pension Benefits Act and the Income Tax Act.
Demonstrated strengths in written, oral and interpersonal communication.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proven ability to integrate and work well with team members in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
