The Pizza Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing staff. They maintain quality standards, handle customer issues, and ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Staff:
Oversee and coordinate the activities of pizza restaurant staff, including pizza makers, servers, and kitchen staff.
Provide training to new employees and ongoing coaching to existing staff.
Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve performance.
Ensure Customer Satisfaction:
Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure that all orders are prepared accurately and delivered in a timely manner.
Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
Maintain Quality Standards:
Ensure that all food preparation meets quality and hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
Oversee Daily Operations:
Open and close the restaurant, ensuring all tasks are completed according to procedures.
Manage cash handling and ensure accurate daily sales records.
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during shifts.
Manage Inventory:
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Place orders with suppliers to replenish inventory.
Ensure proper storage and handling of all food items.
Enforce Policies and Procedures:
Ensure that all staff members adhere to company policies and procedures.
Implement and enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or food service environment.
Experience in pizza making or a similar culinary role is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or hospitality training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
