We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in various aspects of food preparation and service. This role involves creating delicious pizzas while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Pizza Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new pizza offerings Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs when necessary Utilize fine dining techniques to enhance presentation and flavor profiles of dishes Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality of all products used Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests Train and mentor new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or fine dining setting Strong culinary skills with a focus on pizza preparation, including knowledge of dough making and toppings Experience with menu planning and meal preparation is preferred Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or catering services is a plus Proficient knife skills and understanding of various cooking methods are essential Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling
