Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and effective communication with both customers and team members. A background in warehouse operations and commercial driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of items during transit. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or a similar role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Forklift certification is advantageous but not required; training may be provided. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
