Overview

Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza Nelson bc, seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position requires the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate a forklift, as well as experience in commercial driving.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading schedules and ensure timely dispatch of shipments. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Experience in warehouse operations is preferred, including familiarity with moving equipment such as forklifts. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
