The start date is immediate with 2-4 shifts available each week.

The season ends on August 31st so the position is only for 4 weeks of employment.

Wage is negotiable for the right person. You must be able to travel to and from Cavendish as the shifts will not align with the bussing schedule!

We are seeking an experienced pizza cook or prep cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has strong prep skills, experience working with wood-fired ovens, and an understanding of dough, ingredients, and cooking techniques.

This hands-on role focuses on consistent pizza production and maintaining high-quality standards throughout prep and service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare fresh pizza dough daily, including mixing, portioning, and managing fermentation Stretch and shape dough consistently to the required specifications Cook pizzas to order in a high-temperature wood-fired oven, ensuring accuracy and speed Prep pizza ingredients daily, including sauces, cheeses, meats, and vegetables Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pizza station Monitor oven temperature and baking times for quality and consistency Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Support general kitchen prep as needed during slower pizza periods Communicate clearly and efficiently with the line team during service

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pizzaiolo or in a high-volume kitchen Excellent dough handling and prep skills Comfort working with high-heat ovens and fast-paced production Strong attention to detail and consistency in product execution Understanding of safe food handling and cleanliness standards Physically able to work on your feet and handle repetitive tasks Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Passionate about quality food and doing the work right every time
