We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Closer to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the closing operations run smoothly, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer orders and payments accurately. Handle cash transactions with precision while adhering to cash handling policies. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and upselling menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, following sanitation guidelines. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and storage. Assist in training new staff members on food handling procedures and restaurant operations. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless closing process, including inventory management.

Experience

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, with a focus on restaurant operations. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Experience in cashiering and handling cash transactions is required. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing are necessary. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus. Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
