We are seeking an APEGA registered Stress Engineer to join our engineering team.
We are seeking a
Piping Stress Engineer
to support ongoing and upcoming
oil & gas and industrial projects in Alberta
. The successful candidate will work closely with piping design, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver safe, code-compliant piping systems from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform piping stress analysis using
CAESAR II
and/or
FE-Pipe/ Nozzle Pro
Evaluate piping systems in accordance with
ASME B31.3
,
ASME B31.1
, and
CSA Z662
Assess sustained, thermal, occasional, wind, seismic, and dynamic loads
Develop pipe support and restraint strategies
Support stress-related RFIs, field issues, and construction queries
Prepare calculation packages and technical reports for IFC deliverables
Coordinate with piping designers, mechanical engineers, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Registered with APEGA
Minimum 3-4years of piping stress analysis experience (intermediate to senior level preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Canadian codes and Alberta industry practices
Experience with oil & gas facilities, wellsites, or midstream infrastructure
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Preferred Assets
Experience with brownfield modifications and revamp projects
Familiarity with Alberta regulatory and client expectations
Work Arrangement
Full-time or contract roles considered
