Visit us @ rsvfx.com The Pipeline Supervisor will lead the pipeline team in crafting state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and procedures to aid the execution of the current projects and advance the capabilities of Rocket Science\'s production pipeline. Responsibilities and Work Duties include:

  • Work with leadership to form the technical implementation and architecture for client services in the pipeline.
  • Track progress and outcomes, and provide guidance when needed.
  • Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of the Pipeline infrastructure, tools, processes, and automation.
  • Maintain, refactor, improve, and test existing code to reduce technical debt.
  • Proactively refine and improve the team\'s development standards and processes.
  • Conduct code reviews and give productive feedback to team members.
  • Mentor, support and enable Pipeline TDs to help resolve issues and solve problems.
  • Collaborate with Production leadership to identify workflow efficiencies and resolve show specific development requests
Skills and Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years\' experience in feature animation or VFX production pipeline technology
  • 2+ years of additional experience a Lead Pipeline Developer
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar education.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python.
  • UI development using PySide / PyQt5
  • Experience with Shotgun is strongly desired.
  • Excellent knowledge of one or more of the following software: Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Red shift, Arnold, Mari.
  • Experience with workflows based on Pixar\'s USD scene description language would be strongly desired
  • familiarity with GIT
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability and interest in learning new skills autonomously highly desired.
  • Capacity to thrive in a results-driven pipeline.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
  • Proven ability to work with artists to troubleshoot and fix day-to-day production challenges.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with other developers, in a coordinated manner, on the same product.
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Strong communication skills both in written and verbal. Ability to articulate both with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale production pipelines and artist workflows within film and television visual effects.
