Wood\'s office in Calgary, AB is currently recruiting for a Junior or Intermediate Pipeline Engineer. This position includes working within the Oil and Gas Industry in an engineering capacity for above ground (SAGD) and buried cross country pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce pipeline documents and works with others to produce technical drawings.
Prepare pipeline design calculations (wall thickness, buoyancy, bending, etc.).
Produce Pipeline design reports.
Provide input into pipeline engineering specifications, standards, and procedures.
Complete Material Take Offs and associated Material Requisitions.
Coordinate procurement bids and complete technical bid evaluations.
Identify optimization and operating cost reduction opportunities.
Ensure construction and field modifications meet the requirements of all applicable codes, standards and regulations.
Preparing project designs, Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) cost estimates, economic justifications, project schedules.
Provides technical advice on design processes or construction methods.
Advises on the development of new engineering methods and participates in short and long-range planning.
Supervises complex engineering tasks related to a portion of a major project.
Provides technical leadership to teams of professional and non-professional staff to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical, Civil or Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering
Exposure to pipeline engineering and design in some capacity
Registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.
Good familiarization with engineering standards relevant to the oil and gas pipeline industry (including ASME, API, and especially CSA, etc.).
Awareness of with Alberta OH and S Code requirements
Good technical knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment, while dealing with people from various disciplines
Demonstrated willingness to learn and work independently
Strong technical writing and oral communication skills in English
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Must be able to work in Canada legally at time of application
