Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Pipefitter with strong fabrication experience in a shop setting, proven high-volume production ability, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will excel in blueprint reading, pipe fitting, troubleshooting drawings, and leading by example. This role has the potential to develop into a Lead Hand position as our shop continues to expand.

What You Will Be Working On
Perform accurate pipe layout and fitting for high-volume fabrication projects.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, isometrics, and fabrication drawings with precision.
Consistently achieve a minimum production target of 150 factored diameter-inches fit up per day with a tacker, without mistakes.
Identify and resolve potential issues in drawings before fabrication begins.
Perform hydrotesting on completed spools.
Thread, bevel, and prepare pipe as required.
Safely operate overhead cranes for material movement, loading trailers, and fabrication handling.
Assist with shipping preparation, pipe loading, and organizing fabricated spools for delivery.
Work collaboratively with welders, apprentices, and shop crew to maintain efficient shop flow.
Mentor and guide apprentices as needed.
Maintain safe work practices and uphold shop standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Journeyman Pipefitter certification (Red Seal/recognized trade ticket required).
Proven fabrication shop experience; field background considered if shop skills are strong.
Exceptional blueprint and isometric reading skills with the ability to identify errors.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed production fitting targets.
Experience with hydrotesting procedures and documentation.
Familiarity with pipe threading and shop equipment.
Overhead crane experience with safe rigging/handling practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Leadership qualities with the ability to step into a Lead Hand role.
Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Valid Driver's License (not GDL)

WHMIS 2015
Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
