Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Pipefitter Journeypersons to join the Integrated Constructors Inc. maintenance team at the MEG Energy site near Conklin, Alberta.

Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG\'s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project is located 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG who have safety and efficient work practices at top of mind.

• Currently a $500 ($250 each way) Travel Allowance offered with requirement to drive to and from site each shift.

Steamfitter - pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shutdowns.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
• Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition

Minimum Requirements:

• Pipefitter Journeyperson Ticket
• Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification (CSTS - 20)
• H2S Alive
• Fall Protection
• Aerial Work Platform
• Confined Space
• Valid Driver\'s License and a clean 3 Year Driver\'s Abstract
• Fit Test
