Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems used in manufacturing, construction, and maintenance environments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and welding techniques to ensure the safe and efficient operation of piping infrastructure. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work with hand tools and precision measurement devices. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute significantly to our operational success.

Duties



Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and specifications. Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools and power tools. Perform MIG, TIG welding, and other welding techniques to join pipes securely according to safety standards. Utilize calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure precise fitting of components. Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy pipes or equipment safely. Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed, ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with team members in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance projects to complete tasks efficiently. Follow safety protocols related to plumbing, welding, rigging, and general construction practices. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using schematics and technical manuals.

Skills



Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe installation, maintenance, and repair processes. Experience with hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, threaders, and calipers. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks. Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy pipes or equipment safely. Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments is preferred. Ability to perform routine maintenance on piping systems and related machinery. This role is integral to ensuring the integrity of piping infrastructure across various projects while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
