Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Pipefitter is involved in the Fabrication of Pipe spools from 4"-30"

Anticipated Start:

As soon as possible.

Location:

Edmonton, AB Fabrication Shop

Shift:

Night Shift, 4:30pm-2am, Mon-Thurs, OT available on Fridays and Saturdays

Night Shift Premium:

$3.00/hr

Foreman Premium:

$5.00/hr

Dual Ticket Premium:

$1.00/hr

Base Rate:

$45.30 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards Lead a cohesive team Fit pipe using shop control drawings (acorn) Tack weld fitting components Prepping/grinding factory beveled pipe ends Utilize elbow jigs and external clamps whenever possible Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings May perform other duties as assigned such as operating skid steer

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT) CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20 B-Pressure welding experience Tacking & Fabrication Shop experience is considered an asset Shop hydro experience is considered an asset Able to work well in a team environment Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field Organized and self-motivated Bench fab shop experience is essential
