Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Pipefitter Journeyman and apprentices

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various industrial, manufacturing, and construction environments. This role requires strong knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in welding and rigging techniques. The Pipefitter will ensure all installations meet safety standards, industry codes, and project specifications. Apprentice Pipefitters are also encouraged to apply.

Duties



Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and specifications. Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes using hand tools and power tools such as calipers and wrenches. Perform MIG and TIG welding to securely join pipe sections in accordance with safety and quality standards. Utilize rigging techniques to lift, move, and position heavy piping components accurately and safely. Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with industry codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Troubleshoot issues using schematic diagrams and technical drawings. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements



Proven experience in pipefitting within manufacturing or construction environments (Apprentices welcome). Knowledge of general welding techniques. Experience with steam/glycol tracing systems considered a strong asset. Strong knowledge of schematics, and blueprint reading. Mechanical aptitude related to piping systems, rigging, and maintenance procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices accurately. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work. Familiarity with technical drawings and schematics for precise installation. Ability to work safely in industrial settings while following all safety protocols. Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods.

IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 training is considered a strong asset.

Willingness to travel as required; work is project-based.
