Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG\xe2\x80\x99s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta.
Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd.
All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners.

Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Apprentice (2nd year and above level) to join the team supporting MEG Energy Pipeline Projects on site near Conklin, Alberta. Short term positions with full-time hours on 8/6 shift rotation. Drive-in/ drive-out to site with Travel Allowance provided.
  • Currently a $500 ($250 each way) Travel Allowance offered with requirement to drive to and from site each shift.

Steamfitter \xe2\x80\x93 pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shutdowns.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
  • Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition

Minimum Requirements:
  • Pipefitter Apprentice Ticket
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Manual dexterity
  • Safety conscious attitude
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS- 2020) Certification
  • H2S Alive
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space (preferred)
  • Valid Driver\'s License and a clean 3 Year Driver\'s Abstract
  • Fit Test
