Ayr Welding Limited offers a wide range of services including pipe welding, custom fabrication, millwrighting, electrical services, equipment handling and piping system installations.

What can I expect in this role?

You will:

Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment Prepare pieces to be welded Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions Examine workpieces for defects Ensure pieces meet specifications Recognize and avoid overheating parts to prevent warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of metal Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter Remove rough spots from workpieces Review blueprints, sketches or specifications to determine operational methods or sequences Identify the best procedures to tackle problems Current TSSA and CWB tickets an asset

Pipe Welder Knowledge and Skills

Ability to read and understand blueprints and layout plans Strong problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to meet project deadlines Rotator experience an asset
Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Effective time management Ability to work independently and as a team Safety conscious Sound judgement

What is the working environment like?

Working Conditions

Welding shop Must be able to stand for long periods Ability to work extra hours to accommodate project deadlines

This is a Permanent Fulltime position. A work week consists of 40 hours. Overtime is required occasionally. Compensation is based on skill and experience. The range is $28-36/hr.
