Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing underground piping systems, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires hands-on experience with heavy equipment, electrical systems, and various hand and power tools. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to infrastructure development and maintenance. Applicants should possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate specialized machinery safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities



Lay and install underground piping systems according to project specifications Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing pipes Perform welding tasks as needed to join pipe sections or repair components Manage electrical connections involving low voltage systems within piping projects Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning large pipes or equipment Ensure proper trench shoring and safety measures during excavation activities Assist with the setup and operation of bucket and bucket truck machinery Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times

Experience



Prior experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar heavy construction role is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance Hands-on experience with excavator, backhoe, bucket operation, and other heavy machinery Electrical experience, particularly with low voltage systems, is a plus Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging gear Ability to operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks safely and effectively Knowledge of safety standards related to trenching, shoring, and heavy equipment operation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
