Job Summary: You will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining underground pipelines and associated structures for water, sewage, and drainage systems. You'll work with various materials such as concrete, clay, plastic, and steel pipes and follow safety protocols and procedures while working on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering plans and blueprints to determine the location, size, and depth of trenches for pipes.
Operate heavy machinery and tools such as excavators, backhoes, and shovels to dig trenches and remove debris.
Install and connect pipes, fittings, and valves, and adjust pipe angles as necessary to conform to design specifications.
Test installed systems for leaks and other issues and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other construction professionals to ensure project completion within set timelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in pipe laying, construction, or a related field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans.
Knowledge of pipe materials and installation methods.
Physical strength and stamina to work in outdoor settings and lift heavy equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in varied weather conditions and at heights

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
