, we are seeking a

Pipelayer

to join our expanding team in

Edmonton

. We are looking for safety-minded motivated individuals to drive success during our busy construction season. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in layout of pipe routes and setting elevations ensuring the correct installation of sewer and water pipes and system components. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Foreman, review blueprints, drawings and specifications to ensure that pipe routes and depths are accurate.

Ensure pipes and components are properly connected and sealed, working in confined spaces including trenches and manholes.

Ensure back fill and compaction around pipe to ensure proper positioning and support.

Work effectively as a team with other team members on our jobsites.

Ensure the proper use of all equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with site-specific and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies

Qualifications

3-5 years of Pipelayer in civil / infrastructure construction, preferably in the areas of sewer and water.

Knowledge and experience working with HDPE and concrete pipe

Fusing experience with Trackstar 618 and Pitbull 14 an asset

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail.

CSTS, Ground Disturbance & WHIMIS certifications

Class 5 Drivers License with a 3-year clean abstract

What Can We Offer You?

The salary range for this position is

$35-$40 per hour

. Nu Edge offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual's education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
