Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pilot Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traffic control and escorting over-sized transport trucks safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and communication, ensuring that all loads delivered on time with the public's safety first.

Duties

Operate a class 5 vehicle with knowledge of class 1 commercial vehicles hauling oversized loads. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo using heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding transportation.

Requirements

Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience with heavy haul equipment is preferred. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Must be able to pass a drug screening. Previous experience in commercial driving or related fields is an advantage. Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
