The Role



We are seeking a full time

Piling Drill Rig Operator

for work in and around Edmonton as well as out of town. The Piling Drill Rig Operator is responsible for understanding all functions of the drill rig they are operating, following the OEM Manuals for safety, operations, & maintenance. The operator is responsible for pre-trip equipment inspections prior to operation and for ensuring damages or required repairs are documented and reported to the site supervisor.

Competitive wage with overtime after 8 hours per day 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on all regular hours worked RRSP matching after 90 days $2.00 per hour premium after 30 days for those that sign up for the Lifestyles Program (agree to testing to confirm drug and alcohol free) Company truck may be available for the right candidate

Duties & Responsibilities



Operate a variety of piling equipment to install continuous flight auger (CFA) and cast-in-place (CIP) piles. May be required to operate a variety of support equipment such as skid steers, wheel loaders, concrete pumps, and manlifts. Operate company drill rig in safe manor and to OEM specifications Complete basic maintenance Ensure damage or repairs are reported to site supervisor immediately Assist with training and development of new workers Maintain and complete daily paperwork Help ensure pile quality is maintained as per design specifications. Comply with all site safety rules Help promote and maintain a safe and fair working culture Follow proper hoisting and rigging practices

Working Conditions



Able to travel out of town for work with very little notice Must be comfortable with survey equipment Must be comfortable working outside in various whether conditions Overtime and work on weekends as required Will be required to perform a drug and alcohol test for pre-project access or post incident review

Skills/Experience/Requirements



Minimum of 2-5 years of drilling/piling experience required Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating an SR30 or equivalent Must be on time and fit for work for all shifts Mechanically inclined Able to perform physically demanding tasks outside in all types of weather and terrain Ability to work with minimal supervision Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
