Job Overview

We are seeking a Piping/P&ID Drafter contractor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in process piping drafting, utilizing AutoCAD software tools to create detailed schematics and technical drawings. This role is essential in transforming as-built redlines and MOC designs into meaningful drawings , ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. The Drafter will collaborate closely with project leads to deliver high-quality drawings that meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D piping and instrumentation diagrams using AutoCAD. Ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. 3D experience and working with pointclouds would also be an asset. Collaborate with project leads to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients to ensure accuracy. Assist in the preparation of project drawing packages and document control activities. Proactive role within our Health, Safety & Environment program. Desire to progress into field verification and laser scanning tasks onsite at industrial facilities.

Experience

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Process Piping Drafting Certificate, or similar. Strong understanding of drafting principles, especially for P&ID's. Ability to read and interpret process piping and instrumentation symbols. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
