The Role

The Pickleball Pro is responsible for delivering a high-quality experience to members and guests through expert instruction, engaging programming, and community-building. This role blends technical coaching, customer service, and program innovation to grow participation and ensure COURTX remains a premier destination for pickleball.



Expected Outcomes:



Instructor & Player Development (Approx. 5hrs/week)

Deliver private, semi-private, and group pickleball lessons tailored to varying skill levels. Provide constructive feedback, game strategy, and skill progression plans for players. Lead group clinics and skills camps to drive player progression.

Engaging Programs & Events (Approx. 5hrs/week

Organize and run club programming, including socials, mixers, leagues, tournaments, and junior development initiatives. Design and deliver programming that is inclusive, fun and aligned with COURTX's brand of excellence.

Member Engagement & Onboarding (Apprx 3hrs/week)

Conduct player assessments, new member orientations, and introductory sessions. Create a welcoming and motivating environment for all participants. Support new players in learning fundamentals while challenging advanced players.

Collaboration & Event Planning (Approx. 4hrs/week)

Work closely with club management on programming, scheduling, and event planning. Contribute feedback and insights to enhance member experience and participation.

Marketing & Promotion (Approx. 3hrs/week)

Lead and host pickleball demonstrations, exhibitions, corporate events, and promotional activities. Serve as an ambassador for COURTX pickleball, building relationships and driving participation.

Operational & Professional Excellence

Maintain courts, equipment, and teaching areas to a safe and professional standard. Advise members on equipment selection and provide input on pickleball gear sales (paddles, balls, accessories). Maintain professional certifications, stay current with pickleball trends, and use up-do-date teaching techniques. Role model professionalism, sportsmanship, and community engagement at all times.

Skills/Experience Required

Previous experience coaching or managing pickleball programs in a club or community setting. Strong knowledge of player development, program formats, and competitive structures. Active or maintainable pickleball coaching certification(s). Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Passion for pickleball, community-building and helping players improve.
