Musical Minds Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our growing team. We specialize in professional, science-based music instruction that blends the rigor of the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum with an engaging, supportive learning environment. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching students of all ages--particularly children--and is committed to inspiring them to set goals, work hard, and develop a lifelong love of music.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one piano lessons tailored to each student's skill level, learning style, and goals. Incorporate music theory, technique, sight-reading, ear training, and performance skills into lessons. Prepare students for RCM exams, recitals, and competitions when applicable. Regularly assess student progress and adjust lesson plans to ensure continuous growth. Create a positive, motivating, and structured learning environment. Communicate effectively with students and parents about progress, practice expectations, and upcoming events. Participate in studio recitals and contribute to a vibrant, community-focused studio culture. Follow studio policies and maintain professional conduct that reflects the Academy's standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience teaching piano, with strong understanding of music theory and piano technique. Experience working with children and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles. RCM certification, music degree, or equivalent performance/teaching credentials preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structured lesson pacing. Excellent communication skills for building trust and rapport with students and families. Commitment to fostering both musical excellence and personal growth in students.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
