We are looking for a warm, patient, and engaging piano teacher to work with our 5-year-old son. The ideal candidate enjoys teaching young beginners, understands early-childhood learning styles, and can create a fun, positive, and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Teach beginner piano lessons once a week using provided piano books and materials
Introduce foundational skills such as finger numbers, simple rhythms, and basic note reading
Keep lessons interactive, playful, and age-appropriate to maintain attention and interest
Use creative strategies (games, musical activities, rewards) to make learning enjoyable
Provide gentle guidance, positive reinforcement, and encouragement
Communicate briefly with parents after lessons regarding progress and areas to practice
Requirements:
Experience teaching piano to young children (especially ages 4-6)
Strong patience, kindness, and ability to adapt to a child's learning pace
Ability to keep lessons structured but fun
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Comfortable working with beginner-level method books (supplied)
Schedule & Compensation:
Once weekly, 1-hour lesson on Sundays
Competitive rate based on experience
