Job Summary

We are a busy multidisciplinary Rehabilitation clinic seeking for a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will work with physiotherapist to support and and assist with various therapeutic activities and ensuring the highest level of patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist the physiotherapist in implementing treatment plans for patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies. Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for therapy sessions and monitoring their progress. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, ensuring proper technique and safety. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes, utilizing medical terminology appropriately. Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment before and after use. Assist in educating patients and their families about rehabilitation exercises and techniques to enhance recovery. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care within an acute care environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the team. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and empathy towards individuals undergoing rehabilitation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism at all times. Physical capability to assist patients with mobility tasks and perform necessary duties throughout the day. Portuguese speaking candidates are welcome

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
