Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
Assist in carrying out patient treatment plans, including gait training, transfers, strengthening, balance exercises, and therapeutic modalities (heat, ice, IFC, US)
Deliver safe and effective
1:1 and group exercise sessions
Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and ensure treatment areas remain safe and organized
Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising Physiotherapists
Qualifications
PTA Diploma
from an accredited program
1+ years of experience
(orthopedic or hospital-based setting preferred)
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and mobility aids
Strong initiative, adaptability, and ability to work independently or in a team in fast pace environment
Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, lifting and transferring using proper/safe body mechanics.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Clear
criminal and vulnerable sector checks
and up-to-date immunization record
BLS certification
