iScope Concussion & Pain Clinics is a specialized treatment and assessment centre offering a range of services and treatments with several locations across Canada. Our clinics use a variety of diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of a patient's pain. Our team of highly skilled Physicians and Allied Health Professionals work together and provide a personalized treatment plan so our patients can feel better sooner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with physiotherapists to implement tailored active therapy programs for in-person patients, focusing on concussion management and pain relief.
Thoroughly document patient progress by maintaining accurate SOAP notes following active therapy sessions.
Develop and distribute personalized exercise sheets for patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
Support physiotherapists in the submission of treatment plans and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Facilitate the seamless transfer of physiotherapy reports to insurance companies via fax and online uploads.
Contribute to the overall efficiency of the clinic by providing assistance with administrative duties.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Work within the professional scope, demonstrating a commitment to ethical and high-quality patient care.
Perform additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of direct patient care experience in kinesiology/physiotherapy assistant role. Experience with concussion rehabilitation preferred.
University education with a Kinesiology degree is an asset.
Registered Kinesiologists in good standing is preferred.
Basic clinical skills in rehabilitation and modalities such as ultrasound, TENs (though ongoing training provided)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Understanding of physiotherapy principles and techniques, with a focus on concussion management and pain relief.
Knowledge and experience with WSIB, MVA, and Universal programming is an asset.
Proficient documentation skills, including the ability to accurately record SOAP notes.
Ability to motivate and inspire patients during treatment and/or consultations.
Strong organizational skills to prepare and distribute exercise sheets for patients.
Familiarity with administrative tasks in a healthcare setting.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with physiotherapists, patients, and insurance companies.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols to ensure a secure clinic environment.
Ability to work within the professional scope, maintaining ethical standards and delivering high-quality patient care.
