Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with physiotherapists to support patient care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks to enhance their independence. Monitor patient progress, reporting any changes to the physiotherapist. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional. Educate patients on proper techniques and safety measures during therapy sessions. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and participation. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment.

Requirements

Previous experience in long-term care is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others improve. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 40 per week
