We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physiotherapists in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in an acute care environment. The Physiotherapy Assistant will play a vital role in helping patients recover and improve their physical health.
Duties
Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks to enhance their recovery.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
Maintain accurate patient records and document progress as directed by the physiotherapist.
Educate patients on exercises and techniques to facilitate their rehabilitation.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Familiarity with acute care practices is highly desirable.
Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate within the healthcare team.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
