Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
Pulling and reviewing patients file, (any contraindications and placement of pads) and immediately (when bed available) let doctor know that patient is here
Doctor/ Physiotherapist will see the patient OR he/she will direct you to continue with passive modalities and exercises as per patients file and see pt after
Monitoring and reporting changed in health status to the Doctor/ Physiotherapist
Providing patient/ family education and support to address physical, emotional and self-care needs as assigned
Providing timely and astute information to relevant team members about the patient's performance
Implementing the components of the treatment plan as directed by the Doctor/ Physiotherapist
Assisting with walking, transfers and safe mobility, etc.
To keep the department and other rooms used for therapy tidy, clean the equipment regularly and ensure that no damaged equipment is used, reporting any problems to the Doctor/ Physiotherapist
Direct patients to receptionist to book future appointments
Participate in program planning
Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with Doctor/ Physiotherapist
Knowledge of equipment. eg; ultrasounds, interferential current therapy
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, ie; substantial walking, standing, lifting, twisting and bending
Understanding the principles of rehabilitation
Good judgment and problem-solving skills
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
