Physiotherapy Assistant

Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and ready for use. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing guidance and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation process. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments administered and patient responses. Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-care techniques to promote continued recovery outside of therapy sessions.

Experience

Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Prior experience in patient care roles will be beneficial, showcasing your ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations.
