Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to promote recovery and rehabilitation.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
A degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution is required.
Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Experience working with pediatric patients is considered an asset but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues are crucial for success in this role.
