Our team provides trauma-informed, highly-specialized assessment, treatment, and targeted intervention services for children and youth with complex combinations of special needs, including developmental disabilities, autism and severe behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges.

About the job

As part of the interdisciplinary Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) team, you will:

Support residents and community clients by delivering personalized physiotherapy care, including assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up. Choose effective, goal-oriented interventions in collaboration with the treatment team Participate in care planning meetings to recommend therapy goals Stay current through self-directed learning in specialized physiotherapy practices Develop educational programs and coordinate resources to support both community and organizational needs

Mandatory requirements



You have current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Technical Knowledge:




You can:


Deliver physiotherapy care through assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up using specialized techniques. Choose goal-focused, outcome-driven interventions tailored to each client Recommend and set therapeutic goals in collaboration with the care team Accurately document assessments and client progress in line with professional standards Apply relevant legislation, including the CYFSA, and follow organizational policies Work effectively within a consultation-based service model Bring hands-on experience working with pediatric clients

Research and Analytical Skills:




You can:


Contribute to research, program evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure physiotherapy equipment is safe and recommend new tools and supplies as needed. Use a range of assessment tools and techniques to support children with mental health, developmental, and medical needs through targeted interventions and programs.

Communication Skills:




You can:

Participate in committees and community meetings to support collaboration and service planning. Deliver presentations and workshops to professionals, educators, and families. Supervise and mentor physiotherapy students, providing orientation on therapist roles and services. Communicate effectively with clients, families, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams.

Leadership Skills:




You can:


Manage resources and design clinical education programs Provide clinical leadership, expert guidance, and consultation to physiotherapists, multidisciplinary teams, educational institutions, and community partners.
