Your Opportunity:Come join the dynamic Calgary Rural Rehabilitation team! We are currently looking for enthousiastic casual Physiotherapists across the rural Calgary zone, especially in Strathmore and High River. If you enjoy working in a variety of settings across the continuum of care than this is the opportunity for you. The rural Allied Health teams provide rehabilitation services in acute care, long term care, outpatient and home care in Canmore, Claresholm, Diamond Valley, Didsbury, High River, Nanton, Okotoks, Strathmore, and Vulcan. Reporting to the Rural Allied Health Manager (Adults) the Physiotherapist will work with our existing rehabilitation team to provide integrated rehabilitation services across the continuum of health services. In addition to performing your clinical roles you will be expected to foster effective relationships within the site and across our rehabilitation teams, and at time participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives within the Rural Calgary zone.Description:As the Physiotherapist I (PT), you will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline. You will provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities. You will include clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care. The PT collaborates with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies. You will participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients. You will contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students. You may provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. Additional Required Qualifications:Current BLS-C Healthcare provider status. At least 1 year experience working with an adult population in an acute care, home care, or Long Term Care setting.
