Stettler Hospital and Care Centre are looking for a compassionate and caring Physiotherapist. The program is a progressive and expanding service with a commitment to professional development and excellence. Stettler Hospital and Care Centre provide care for outpatients and community patients with injuries through an interdisciplinary approach. Unique to the site, we cover long-term care outpatients and have dedicated therapy assistants on site offering support. The reception area check-in with the therapy assistants to filter through your patients; that\'s not common with other physiotherapy clinical settings. Stettler is located in the "Heart" of Central Alberta, at the junction of Highways 12 and 56, 80 km from Red Deer city and 1 hour away from Drumheller Also has a unique premier tourist attraction including Canadian Pacific Stream Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions (absteamtrain.com). Stettler is a small community that has also been experiencing steady economic growth in the past several years. The Town of Stettler\'s most recent census in 2020 shows that the Town\'s population is currently at 5851, with the County of Stettler housing a population of 5343. There have been several large businesses that have moved into the area, such as Wal-Mart, The Brick, and Canadian Tire. Description:

As the Physiotherapist I (PT), you will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline. You will provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities. You will include clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care. The PT collaborates with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies. You will participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients. You will contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students. You may provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. Additional Required Qualifications:

Completed BLS from Heart and Stroke foundation. Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in LTC and OP would be an asset.
