As a Physiotherapist I (PT I), you'll play a pivotal role in creatively providing direct client care to individuals with a wide range of conditions. If you're ready to embark on a rewarding career, apply now to join our team!Description:As the Physiotherapist I (PT), you will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline. You will provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities. You will include clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care. The PT collaborates with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies. You will participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients. You will contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students. You may provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. Additional Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program required. Effective teaching skills, proven ability and skill in critical analysis, creative treatment plans and high energy, written and verbal communication skills, and computers skills are required. The successful incumbent will be capable of performing lifts, transfers, repositioning, and other physically demanding activities associated with this role. Three years of pediatric experience in a tertiary rehabilitation setting is required with knowledge of early development and associated interventions, pediatric mobility equipment prescription, and musculoskeletal assessment and treatment knowledge for children who are post-surgical/medical intervention. Knowledge of Pediatric community resources. Responsible to maintain active registration with the Physiotherapy College of Alberta throughout the duration of employment. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care EMR is considered an asset.
